There are so many wonderful open source projects out there, some which we use many times per week, perhaps even daily, and we acknowledge the immense time and effort that goes into creating and maintaining software that people love and use.
That’s why we have started a new initiative, focused on financially supporting open source projects related to video game history and preservation. Before you ask, no, we cannot pay your full-time salary. But, we hope we can offset some of the costs that an open source project brings, such as paying for hardware, software, or services.
